"As part of our unique grassroots initiative Sharing Culture, we will create an inspiring collection of filmed and written Indigenous Healing Stories. These Stories will carry Healing messages and show factors that facilitate healing, e.g. self-determinism and empowerment; connection to culture, land, family, community, spirituality and history; and Stories and education."

Documentary Australia Foundation Many Indigenous people have shown resilience to, and healed from, historical trauma and its consequences (e.g. addiction, mental health problems, psychological distress). These people are role models and they and their Stories empower other Indigenous people by providing hope (that a better life is possible) and understanding (of how healing can be achieved). These Stories will carry Healing messages and show factors that facilitate healing, e.g. self-determinism and empowerment; connection to culture, land, family, community, spirituality and history; and Stories and education. The Stories will ‘connect’ to a Sharing Culture education and advocacy resource. We aim to raise $75,000 to ‘kick-start’ this Healing Stories project. This funding will allow us to:
