What Peta has done with her life is very special and she advises me from time to time. And encourages me with what I am doing with Sharing Culture. It seemed only natural that I ask her to join our international network of Advisors/Healers. Here is Peta's bio:
Peta Tranquille was raised on a farm in Western Australia and has been a Cartographer for over 25 years. During the last ten years, she has been self-employed with her husband (also a Cartographer) and soul mate of 27 years.
Following the birth of her only son, Tyler, Peta searched for natural solutions to his ailments. This began her passion for nutrition and her search for non-medical remedies.
Peta suffered with migraines from her late teens, had a troubled pregnancy, and from there things only declined. In late 2012, when times were tough financially, mentally and physically, Peta was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. This condition added to her already long list of health problems.
In mid-2013, Peta’s family moved from Perth to Melbourne to start afresh. Tyler was saddened to see his mother so fatigued and unhappy and asked his coach/personal trainer if he could help her to get fit and well.
From early 2014, Peta started on her biggest adventure of self-healing. With the added assistance of a new friend, physiotherapist and nutritionist, she made drastic changes to her already restricted diet.
Another important part of Peta’s self-healing process involved immersing herself into her artwork. Peta has always been creative and as a child dreamt of being an artist. Painting or drawing created a feeling of stillness and awakening which washed away the chaos and confusion in her mind.
Her rediscovery and understanding of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle helped to awaken her spiritually and adopt the practice of staying in the present moment. This method makes it impossible for stress to play a factor in one’s life. Stress only exists when we think about the past or future.
With regular exercise and ongoing support from her personal trainer, and her new spiritual awareness and practice of mindfulness, Peta is now fitter, mentally stronger, healthier and happier than ever before.
Her wellness journey is an ongoing story of which she now blogs about and is helping to inspire others to make a difference to their lives too.
On her website, Peta also includes many recipes for healthy and enjoyable eating, as well as reviews of eating places.
